Leffe Blonde Pours a clear gold with some pink highlights, much like the background in my picture above. There is a huge four finger white head that sounds like it is fizzing as if it was a shaken Coke.
Lots of clove and Belgian yeast in the aroma.
The taste is a lot like the smell, lots of clove, banana from the yeast, and a bit of hops…not so bad for an Inbev beer… that is until… it gets warm. The flavor does not stick around for long and dissipates more each passing minute until it becomes bland piss.
This beer… got me. Will I choose it at a party over something in the “Light” family? Yes. If I have a gun to my head. Otherwise, I’ll take water.
